A collectible two-volume set on the history and culture of American foxhunting, both signed by author Alexander Mackay-Smith. The American Foxhound 1747–1967 (1968) is a limited edition of 1,000 copies published by The American Foxhound Club, with this copy numbered 596. It’s paired with American Foxhunting: An Anthology (1970, one of 2500 copies, numbered 864, a richly illustrated companion volume featuring classic essays, sketches, and poetry on the sport.
