A wonderfully shabby set of five vintage and antique books in neutral tan, cream, parchment, and soft brown, each missing its spine covering to reveal the beautiful bones underneath: stitched signatures, cloth webbing, old glue, and paper backing. The raw textures make a striking, rustic statement on a shelf, in a farmhouse, or in a vignette that celebrates the beauty of age.
These are true decorator books, loved for their texture rather than their titles. The mix includes antique pieces with remnants of old publisher's labels, an early Mark Twain, and a French novel published in Paris, so each one has its own little history.
Together they measure approximately 7.5 x 6 inches.
**Condition**
These books are missing their spines, so the stitching, webbing, and binding materials are exposed. Expect loose pieces, flaking, chipping, and fragile bindings, so they are best for display.
