Complete 71‑volume set, bound in matching full leather with gilt monogram on front covers. When only the best will do for your home library, this 1700s French-language set of the works of Voltaire is all you need.

Three printing locations are mentioned. Most are printed in Basel (Tourneisen). Some are Gotha (Ettinger) or Paris (Levrault, Schoell et Comp). The differing title-page imprints may tell the story of how the set was assembled—maybe over a span of years from multiple 1780s–1804 printings. They all have the same monogram on the cover.

Octavo format (~21×13 cm)

Good condition for age—tight binding, shelf wear, all volumes present. Book One (shown in the photos) is split along the back joint, with cover attached at the front only; binding otherwise holding.
