A small, shabby set of six antique schoolbook hardcovers whose original blue and green cloth has faded to a soft, consistent olive and greenish gray. The muted, timeworn color is a beautiful fit for farmhouse, cottage, and antique-inspired interiors.
Most of these are from the Lake English Classics series published by Scott, Foresman, with their simple boxed cover labels, joined by a French reader from Heath's Modern Language Series and a 1920s writing handbook. They're slim and petite, perfect for tucking into a vignette or a small shelf.
Together they measure approximately 6.5 x 4.5 inches.
This set includes:
🌿 The Pilgrim's Progress, by Bunyan, Lake English Classics (1906)
🌿 Madame Thérèse, by Erckmann-Chatrian, Heath's Modern Language Series (1910)
🌿 Oliver Goldsmith: A Biography, by Washington Irving, Lake English Classics (1907)
🌿 The Century Handbook of Writing (1927)
🌿 The Sir Roger de Coverley Papers, Lake English Classics (1919)
🌿 The Golden Treasury of Songs and Lyrics, by Palgrave, Lake English Classics (1919)
