The Bookshelf for Boys and Girls, Volumes 5 and 8, 1970

Who wrote it: The Bookshelf for Boys and Girls was prepared under the supervision of the editorial board of The University Society of New York, educational publishers since 1897. These two volumes are from 1970, Volume 5, Things to Make and Things to Do, and Volume 8, Bookland Classics.

What it's about: Volume 5 is a rainy day treasury of crafts and activities, paper hats, stilts from tin cans, a string telephone, and drawing lessons by cartoonist Nat Falk. Volume 8 gathers classic stories for young readers.

Special features: Cream textured boards with mounted color cover illustrations, teal and gilt spines, and red and blue illustrated endpapers.

Condition: Two pictorial hardcovers, clean and bright with minimal shelf wear. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.

Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
