Cherry Jam at Glencastle was written by A. Ruby Forde and published by Dawson Publications of Dublin, Ireland. The first impression appeared in January 1946; this is the second impression from February 1946, just one month later, suggesting the book found an immediate readership.

**What it's about**
Set at an Irish boarding school, the story follows a new girl whose arrival stirs up jealousy among an established friend group. It is a light and warmly drawn school story.

**Why I like it**
This one is short, charming, and amusing, with a twist at the end.
