Childcraft, Volume Six, Activity Units, 1937
Who wrote it: Childcraft, Volume Six, Activity Units, was published by W. F. Quarrie and Company of Chicago, copyright 1935 and 1937.
What it's about: Classroom and home activity units written by teachers on community life, transportation, farm life, food, shelter, textiles, Indian life, pioneer days, gardens, animals, the desert, and children of other lands. A lovely look at progressive education in the 1930s.
Special features: Color plates throughout, including carnivorous plants and unusual birds, and an Art Deco binding with the Knowledge Governs Strength elephant label.
Condition: Bright orange pictorial hardcover with a small scuff at the foot of the spine; a Washoe County School District discard stamp on the half title, interior clean. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
