Who wrote it: The Diary of Moll Flanders is Daniel Defoe's classic 1722 novel of a woman determined to survive on her own terms in 18th-century England. This is a Heritage Press edition, illustrated by Reginald Marsh and presented in its original grey slipcase.

What it's about: One of the earliest English novels, Moll Flanders follows its resourceful, morally complicated narrator through poverty, marriage, crime, and eventual prosperity. It is sharp, funny, and surprisingly modern in its sympathies.

Special features: Heritage Press editions are prized for their quality and care. The illustrations here are by Reginald Marsh, celebrated for his vivid depictions of New York street life. The hardcover is a lovely terracotta color.

Why I like it: This is a beautiful collectible edition of a classic, and it is in excellent condition.

Condition: Red cloth hardcover in original grey slipcase, both clean and intact. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.

Thanks so much for visiting, ❤️ Jess
