What it's about: Peterson's system of pointing out key field marks made bird identification approachable for ordinary people, and this volume applies that system to the birds of the western United States.

Special features: This copy carries decades of a birder's own history, with an inscription dated July 2, 1954 from Teton National Park, a later note from Kenai River, Alaska in 1989, and pages of green ink checkmarks beside species the owner spotted over the years.

Condition: Teal cloth hardcover; no dust jacket. Spine ends show fraying consistent with age and use. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
