Who wrote it: Gallant Little Wales is an early 1900s travel and geography sketchbook about Wales by Jeannette Marks, published by Houghton Mifflin in 1912.

What it's about: Marks combines travel writing with sketches of Welsh people, places, and customs, giving readers of the era a personal, illustrated tour of the country. It reads like an affectionate portrait of a place, and the inside cover map is a nice touch for anyone interested in early twentieth century travel writing.

Condition: Hardcover with some loose illustration pages. Includes a presentation inscription, and an ownership stamp. Text and photographic plate pages are otherwise clean. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
