H. D. Thoreau, A Writer's Journal, Laurence Stapleton, 1960
Who wrote it: H. D. Thoreau, A Writer's Journal was selected and edited with an introduction by Laurence Stapleton of Bryn Mawr College, published by Dover in 1960.
What it's about: Drawn from Thoreau's fourteen volume journal, the selections show him at work as a writer, walking by night, watching the seasons, and noticing everything around Concord. A good way into the journal for readers who already love Walden.
Condition: Ex-library hardcover in a library binding with the original cover art mounted on the boards, a call number on the cover, tape at the spine ends, staining on the front pastedown, and the call number penciled on the copyright page. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
