Who wrote it: Hiroshima is John Hersey's landmark work of reportage, published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1946 after first appearing in its entirety in The New Yorker.
What it's about: The book follows six survivors through the morning of the atomic bombing and the days that followed, telling an enormous history through ordinary lives. It remains one of the most important pieces of twentieth-century journalism.
Why I like it: I find this one fascinating and important, a slim volume that looks like it packs a real punch.
Condition: Green cloth hardcover with dust jacket; the jacket shows edge wear and chipping at the spine ends, and the interior is clean. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting, ❤️ Jess
