How Robert Wood Paints Landscapes and Seascapes, Robert Wood, published by Walter T. Foster.

Number 66 in the Walter T. Foster “How to Draw” art book series, this paperback features the work and techniques of Robert Wood (1889–1979), one of the most commercially successful American landscape painters of the mid-twentieth century, whose paintings sold widely as reproductions throughout the postwar decades.

The book presents forty fine-print reproductions of Wood’s paintings alongside his own notes on color, composition, and technique. The prints were produced for copying or framing, and the text walks through Wood’s direct-painting approach using oil on canvas.

Fully illustrated in color throughout with finished works and step-by-step demonstrations across desert wildflower fields, autumn river valleys, mountain forest scenes, and seascapes.

Color-illustrated paperback; some wear to covers and spine. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
