Incidents of Travel in Yucatan, Volume One and Volume Two, 1962, John Lloyd Stephens.
This edition, published by the University of Oklahoma Press, is part of the American Exploration and Travel Series and includes detailed engravings by Frederick Catherwood, along with an introduction by Victor Wolfgang von Hagen.
These books were originally published in the 1800s. Stephens is famous for his journeys through Central America and the Yucatan (1839–1842), during which he explored dozens of ancient Maya sites — many never before documented by outsiders.
This hardcover set is in good condition. Some water marks on spine.
