Who wrote it: Jerry and the Pusa is a children's story written and illustrated by Eleanor Frances Lattimore and published by Harcourt, Brace and Company of New York in 1932.

What it's about: Set in China, the story follows a boy named Jerry through everyday adventures, from a birthday party and a dust-storm to a trip to the city and Christmas at the temple.

Special features: Lattimore's black and white illustrations appear throughout, from the title page drawing of Jerry with his sword to full-page scenes of children at play. The blue cloth cover with its stacked yellow lettering is a lovely piece of early 1930s design.

Condition: Blue cloth hardcover with yellow lettering; no dust jacket. Spine ends are frayed and the cover shows soiling and edge wear. Former library copy with a handwritten "Gift of the State" note on the half title page. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
