Who wrote it: A gospel hymnal compiled by E.T. Hildebrand and Jas. D. Vaughan, published in 1898 by the Home Music Company of Logansport, Indiana, printed in round note shape note notation.

What it's about: A working church songbook from the turn of the last century, the kind of hymnal that would have traveled to revivals and Sunday services rather than sat on a shelf. Its wear tells its own story of use.

Condition: Paper covered boards with a pictorial cover, heavily worn with a cracked front hinge, tape repair, and edge chipping, plus a handwritten early owner's inscription inside. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
