Who wrote it: Physiography of the United States is a geography and geology text by Charles B. Hunt of The Johns Hopkins University, published by W.H. Freeman and Company in 1967 as part of their Series of Books in Geology.
What it's about: Physiography, the study of the physical features of the earth's surface, is explored here region by region across the entire United States, from the Appalachian Highlands to Hawaii and Alaska, with thorough and beautifully organized detail.
Special features: The book includes detailed maps, cross-sections, and diagrams on nearly every page, making complex geological concepts approachable and engaging.
Why I like it: I love this book because I had never even heard of the term physiography before, and so it taught me something new.
Condition: Tan cloth hardcover; no dust jacket. Clean and tight. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting, ❤️ Jess
