Who wrote it: Prehistoric Animals is by Barry Cox, illustrated by Design Practitioners Ltd., and published by Grosset and Dunlap in 1970 as part of the Grosset All-Color Guide series.

What it's about: A compact introduction to the history of life, from early fish and amphibians through the dinosaurs to the mammals that followed, with a board of consultants from the American Museum of Natural History and other institutions.

Special features: There are 280 full color illustrations throughout.

Condition: Pictorial hardcover with matching dust jacket; the jacket is chipped at the spine. A child's pencil drawing on the front endpaper, and page numbers written in marker through roughly the first 40 pages. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
