A generously sized set of nine shabby, well-loved antique French books, none of 7 inches tall, in warm brown leather with faded gilt tooling, offering great texture and volume for a bookshelf.

This is an assorted grouping of odd volumes from several different 18th/19th-century French works, including two volumes each of Monsieur Botte, L'Hermite en Province, and L'Hermite ou le Franc Parleur, plus single volumes of a life of St. François, L'Esprit de Saint François de Sales, and Les Hermites en Liberté, all bound in matching worn brown leather for a cohesive, well-read look despite the mix of subjects.

Together they measure approximately 10 x 7 inches.
