Storyland, illustrated by Roberta Paflin, copyright 1947, is a children's fairy tale and folklore anthology issued as a Sturdibilt Book, with thick cardboard-reinforced pages intended to withstand heavy use by young readers.

The collection gathers classic fairy tales and folk stories, opening with The Three Dogs, a shepherd's son tale in the tradition of European folklore. The Sturdibilt format gives this volume a distinctive chunky feel that sets it apart from standard picture books of the era.

Illustrated throughout with charming full-color and black-and-white artwork by Roberta Paflin.

Condition: Cover shows significant wear including a vertical crease and crack running through the front, corner wear, and soiling. The gray cloth spine shows heavy wear. Interior pages are heavily toned with age but intact; the thick Sturdibilt pages are all present and the binding holds. A well-loved survivor of its format.
