Table Talk, William Hazlitt, The World's Classics Edition
Who wrote it: Table Talk is a collection of personal essays by William Hazlitt, first published in 1821 and 1822 and presented here as volume five of the World's Classics series from Henry Frowde and Oxford University Press. The World's Classics edition was first issued in 1901 and reprinted in 1902, 1903, and 1910.
What it's about: Hazlitt ranges across painting, criticism, character, and the pleasures of everyday life in these informal essays, long admired as some of the finest personal prose in the English language.
Condition: Green cloth hardcover with gilt Art Nouveau decoration on the spine and cover, no dust jacket. The binding is clean and bright with only light rubbing at the spine ends. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
