Tangletown Tales, Francis Kirn, 1946
Who wrote it: Tangletown Tales is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Francis Kirn, published by Samuel Lowe Company of Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1946 as one of the Brownie Books.
What it's about: A cast of mischievous animal characters, Nosey, Posey, and Jolly Cholley among them, gets into a string of pranks and their comeuppance, told in the bright, simple style of a 1940s picture book series.
Condition: Pictorial paper covered boards over a cloth spine; the spine cloth is worn through at the head and tail, and the corners show rubbing and small chips. An early owner's name is penciled on the front endpaper. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
