Tenggren's Golden Tales from the Arabian Nights, told by Margaret Soifer and Irwin Shapiro, illustrated by Gustaf Tenggren, and published by Simon and Schuster in association with Artists and Writers Guild in 1957 as a Giant Golden Book. 

Gustaf Tenggren was one of the great illustrators of American children's books, a Swedish-born artist whose work for Walt Disney on Snow White and Pinocchio, and his long career with the Little Golden Books series, made his richly colored, decorative style one of the defining visual languages of mid-century American children's book illustration. 

This copy is in good vintage condition. The illustrated boards show light corner and edge wear. The binding is intact. The plastic covering over the cover has been mostly torn off over the years.
