Who wrote it: The American Army in France is Major General James G. Harbord's 1936 account of the U.S. Expeditionary Forces in World War I, published by Little, Brown and Company as a hardcover with dust jacket, illustrated with photographs and maps. Harbord commanded the U.S. 2nd Division and later led the Services of Supply, so this history comes from a man who was in the rooms where it happened.
Condition: Blue cloth hardcover with gilt spine lettering, dust jacket present. The jacket shows significant wear with chipping and losses at the spine ends and corners, plus a few closed tears. The front pastedown carries a previous owner's bookplate. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
