Part of the Stull-Hatch "Our World Today" series from Allyn and Bacon, this third-grade reader by Mary Lusk Pierce of Bangor, Maine takes young learners on a tour of everyday community life. Beginning with home and shelter, it moves through seasons, food sources, animals, clothing, transportation, and communications. Warm and accessible in tone, the book invites students to look carefully at how communities are built and sustained.

The cloth hardcover is intact with no visible damage to the binding. Illustrated endpapers are present and undamaged. Interior pages are uniformly yellowed with age but clean and legible. A former owner has written their name in ink on the flyleaf.
