Who wrote it: The First Thanksgiving is a 1962 children's picture book by Lou Rogers, retelling the Pilgrims' first harvest celebration at Plymouth.

What it's about: The book follows the Mayflower's passengers from their difficult ocean crossing through their first hard winter and the harvest feast that followed, told simply for young readers just learning the story.
