What it's about: The book tells the story of the General Slocum, a steamship that caught fire on New York's East River in 1904, killing over a thousand passengers, most of them women and children from a single church community.
Condition: Original hardcover with dust jacket, corner torn at the top right and the spine panel sunned relative to the front and back. A former school library book, with stamps from two library systems and catalog cards still in the rear pocket. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
