John Bunyan's The Pilgrim’s Progress is a Christian allegory first published in 1678. It follows the journey of a character named Christian as he travels from the "City of Destruction" to the "Celestial City," encountering various trials, temptations, and symbolic figures along the way. The work is one of the most influential religious texts in English literature.
