The Scribner Radio Music Library, edited by Albert E. Wier, was conceived to bring the music of the radio age into the home, offering piano arrangements of light classical, dance, and operatic pieces that listeners could play themselves. Volumes 3, 6, and 7 cover Light Piano Pieces, Dance Music, and Opera & Sacred Music respectively, providing a broad cross-section of popular repertoire from the era.
These volumes were published by Charles Scribner’s Sons, New York. Volume 3 dates to 1931 and Volumes 6 and 7 to 1946. Each volume bears the distinctive red cloth binding with a gold microphone emblem on the spine, reflecting the set’s radio-age branding.
The red cloth boards show light shelf wear but are structurally sound. The spines retain their gold embossed microphone decoration. The interior pages are clean with light toning. Sold as a set of three volumes.
