Who wrote it: The Watson Drawing Book is a 1962 art-instruction guide by the father-son team of Ernest W. Watson and Aldren A. Watson, published in hardcover with dust jacket by Bell Publishing Company.
What it's about: Subtitled "An Introduction to the Language of Drawing," it walks readers through pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, brush, wash, and felt-tip technique using the work of eighty artists alongside the Watsons' own diagrams.
Special features: Illustration runs through nearly every page, drawings by masters and contemporaries reproduced beside step by step diagrams on perspective, form, and light and shade.
Condition: Coral cloth hardcover with dust jacket; the jacket has a short tear and small chip at the spine head with a faint mend, plus a torn corner on the rear flap. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
