Who wrote it: Things You See is an early reader by Albert J. Harris and Mae Knight Clark, part of The Macmillan Reading Program and published by The Macmillan Company in 1965. It is the third preprimer in the series.
What it's about: Following children named Billy, Jeff, Mary, and Mike through small everyday adventures, this preprimer pairs very simple sentences with warm mid century artwork to help the youngest readers find their footing.
Special features: The illustrations are pure mid century, from the stylized green cover with its kite and child to the color chart of yarn balls on the back board.
Why I like it: I have such a soft spot for old school readers!
Condition: Green pictorial paperback. A former school textbook with a Property of the State of Tennessee stamp, a property card, and several students' names written inside; the cover shows scuffing and edge wear from classroom use. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting, ❤️ Jess
