Webster's Secondary-School Dictionary, 1925

Who wrote it: Webster's Secondary-School Dictionary, abridged from Webster's New International Dictionary, was published by American Book Company with G. and C. Merriam, copyright 1913 and 1925.

What it's about: A school dictionary with 1000 illustrations, a pronunciation guide, and tables of geographical and biographical names, foreign phrases, and abbreviations. The preface proudly notes new words like radio-active and monoplane.

Condition: Maroon cloth hardcover with gilt emblem; spine faded with frayed ends, edge wear, front hinge cracked, previous owner names and notes inside the front cover, foxing on the endpapers, a creased title page, and a loose leaf near the back. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
