Wild Flowers of New York (Memoir 15), authored by Homer D. House (State Botanist) and published by the New York State Museum in 1918 (copyright), 1919 (publication), is a richly illustrated, two-volume quarto set dedicated to the wildflower flora of New York State.
The State Museum series was intended for academic reference and to underpin conservation and educational efforts.
This set of two hardcovers are in fair condition. Lots of foxing spots on page. Good bindings, so rips or loose pages.
Inscriptions and former owners' marks include a stamp stating "Compliments of Charles L. Mead, Member of Assembly" with the name Capt. A. G. Hall in pen (Hall was also a member of the assembly).
