**Who wrote it**
The Yearbook of Agriculture 1959: Food was published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the 86th Congress, 1st Session, as House Document No. 29. These annual yearbooks were produced as educational references and distributed through Congressional offices.
**What it's about**
A comprehensive survey of the American food supply in 1959, covering production, nutrition, economics, and consumer science. The writing is accessible and covers everything from soil to supermarket shelf.
**Why I like it**
The 1959 edition is one of my favorites in the series. The yellow cloth cover with its grocery store imagery is just so much fun, and the content leans domestic. This copy also has a handwritten inscription on the half-title page reading "Compliments / Congressman / James G. Fulton."
**Condition**
Yellow cloth hardcover with illustrated cover design; no dust jacket. Interior clean with a handwritten Congressional inscription on the half-title page. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
