Who wrote it: Yukon River Children is by Harriett Osgood, with pictures by Lilian Neuner, published by Oxford University Press in 1944.
What it's about: Poco lives with his family in a log cabin in an Athabascan village on the Yukon River, and the book follows a year of his life, from the first salmon feast and berry picking to school, a moose hunt, and Christmas.
Special features: Black and white drawings throughout, a few color plates, and a map of Poco's route through Alaska.
Condition: Blue cloth hardcover with silver stamping, no dust jacket, with spotting on the front board and wear at the corners and spine ends. A 1959 Christmas inscription is on the front endpaper. Please review all photos carefully, and email me with any questions.
Thanks so much for visiting,
❤️ Jess
